Are Supplements Like Whey Protein And Creatine Absolutely Needed To Gain Muscle Mass?

i dont have a job therefore i cant afford all the super expensive whey proteina nd supplements that are like 50-60 bucks….and my parents arent supportive of it either since im not in a school sport of any kind and i wouldnt take 1 now…since im in 12th grade.
but do you absolutely need them to gain mass?? i know you can just eat like 5-6 times a day with high protein foods…but i cant exactly raid the fridge for everything that has protein in it lol.
i have friends who are going from like 145 lbs to 165 lbs of muscle mass and its kind of getting me discouraged icon sad Are Supplements Like Whey Protein And Creatine Absolutely Needed To Gain Muscle Mass? (i weigh like 145 and bench like 195-200)

Cottage cheese and tuna are cheap, and have high protein in them. You don’t need supplements. Try eating these kinds of foods, and snack packs of nuts to help you.

whey protein and creatine are not absolutely needed to gain mass,They just make it easier and quicker. However besides eating high protien foods there arent really any other ways to gain significant muscle mass.Because In order to gain muscle mass you must eat roughly 1-1.5 grams of protien per pound of body weight. Even on non-training days. This is why whey protien is so convient , since the suggested serving will give you at least 50 grams of protien.
so my suggestion is , is that you look into getting a part time job; and starting taking whey protien.even buying the cheap stuff from your local grocery store is good,(only costs between 20 and 30 dollars). This will help you to gain the muscle mass you desire.
    hope that helps
