Help For Sore Knees After Sports?

What is a good supplement to take for sore knees or knee joints after running / playing soccer for a 40 yr old man? I have tried glucosamine pills but they don’t have much effect. Is there any other pill or supplement that helps build up knee strength and take soreness away? thanks in advance

No, not really. Neither is glucosamine much use as you have found out.
You really need to talk to your doctor and perhaps get a referral to an orthopaedic specialist or a specialist in sports injuries.
The knee is a weight bearing joint.
In some joints, such as the hip, the bony structure gives a basic stability but the knee has no such help.
Look online at the anatomy of the knee joint. The link blow gives some idea of what can go wrong.
You need expert advice not guesses. Have a word with your coach and think about consulting your doctor. You might exacerbate the problem by too much activity without knowing if you are making whatever is causing the pain worse
