ok here is the story ive been bodybuilding for quite a whilenow , ive always taken protein shakes only. about a year ago i started taking purple-k from king of creatine and i took them for 2 months along with protein shakes. i stopped for a while then started taking xpand, isoflex protein shakes, glutamine powder and a multi-vitamin from gnc called gnc mega men SPORT. i took the xpand for 2 months and stopped for a month since you cannot take it all the time because its creatine. now am currently taking superpump 250 as a post work-out, no synthesize creatine during and after the workout, am also taking glutamine pills from wal-mart 4 times a day, isoflex protein shakes twice a day and gnc mega men sport(multi-vitamin). now the issue is not too long ago my family and friends have been telling that you are ive started to lose hair and they’ve told me that it started when i first started supplementing, now i do not know if its true and want to make sure that it might be possible that the supplements that am taking are causing my hair to fall. if it does i will immediately stop everything and just eat properly. Please if anyone knows the answer please get back to me ASAP!!!
thanks

I am 25 years old and looking for some advice on starting my bodybuilding lifestyle and goals. I’ve been training for several years and have always loved bodybuilding, just have never taken that next serious step and commitment to the sport. After several years of pro wrestling, now I am ready.
My stats are:
5’10
206lbs
around 17% bf.
At my heaviest I was 220lbs. I say as far as muscle goes, im off to a decent start. But I want to take this sport on for the long run. Getting my physique up to the par with my bodybuilding idols such as stan mcquay, chris dickerson, franco , among others. Id say im fairly knowledgeable on the sport, nutrition, and training of course im always learning more and I would love superior guidance. I guess my biggest question as for starters is, at my current progress, should I lean out and get my bf % as low as possible before getting up to the size I need to become a real competitor in a class I want to compete in?
Ideally and I know this is speaking long term but I would like to compete around the 215-220 mark. So thats why im unsure about how to start. I realize I will have to get in the 240-250 off season to be able to comepete where I want eventually. I feel like I have to much bf% right now and if I can get that as low as possible I will have less to lose after bulking but the increase in weight is so much will it make a difference? I figured if I lean out hard now i’ll be down around 185-190 tops.
You can see some recent pics at my bodyspace.

http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/abarton02/

Anyways any advice for starting out would be MUCH appreciated. I can definitely use all the knowledge and help I can get! Thanks so much for taking the time to read this.

After awhile buying supplements can put a big dent in your wallet. So what really works?

I’m asking on behalf of our muslim friends who are keen in sports but may be disturbed by this type of information as vitamins and supplements are part of the necessary equipment for for sports nutrition.

For years, centuries even, the idea of dieting and working out has been apart of millions of peoples lives. Am I overweight? Am I too skinny? How do I lose this pesky stomach fat? have all been questions that the masses have desired answers to. With all of the different get in shape fast schemes people have fallen into a virtual gain-loss-gain weight paradox. Society has been content with accepting these fads and even pay millions of dollars each year to get the latest “loose 15 pounds in 15 days” diet from a so called expert. The so called expert Dr. Robert Atkins, whose diet has swept the country like a plague over the past five years, believe it or not died of a heart attack related to the diet that he so staunchly preached. When will someone stand up and demand that these pirates of the health and fitness industry be held accountable for what they are doing? How many more people will fall victim to these ridiculous diet and workouts shenanigans before something is done.

One would think that our government would step in and help regulate an industry of “backward ally dealers” and “sell their soul for a dollar” secret hand shakers. Well in a perfect world wishful thinking would prevail, but such is evidently not the case. Each year the government has cut food subsidies to public schools decreasing the overall quality and healthiness of government lunch programs. In a nationwide assessment, USDA found that the average lunch served in 1998-1999 met its dietary guidelines of fewer than 30% of total calories from fat and less than 10% from saturated fat in only one out of seven secondary schools (USDA, FNS 2001). With more then 30 % of children aged 6-19 being obese these findings were absolutely appalling and yet still, the government has done nothing.

When the nation is in a crisis or epic proportions, our government has failed us, and virtually every option has been exhausted what is the general population to do? The answer and saving grace has come in the form of online, user driven, health and fitness communities. Sites like emuscle.com and sparkpeople.com have understood the desperate need for information and content in the form of free diets, free workouts, and free articles that are unequivocally and irrecoverably free from the dirty right hand of the “mainstream” health and fitness industry. The sites have promoted the sharing of credible health and fitness ideas through a common medium; the will to be fit and healthy, and to see those around them do the same. In a time when our country is looked at as the gluttons of the world, it is a fresh breath of air to know that there are places for the common people to go to seek credible health and fitness advice. The old saying goes, “Our body is our temple”, well lets start taking better care of our temples!

I’m going to take the time to talk to you about muscle building weightlifting exercises that I use in my daily routine. My quest all my life has been to build big muscles, but the problem out there is all the false information out there. People really don’t know what they’re doing and when you try to mimic them, you end up getting no where. I think a lot of this is from infomercials, but in the end, it is your responsibility to figure out what is correct and apply it. I’ve been training for many years now and I’m going to teach you some of things I’ve learned over my time. You’re going to have to suck it up and accept the fact that your diet is more important than your routine. I can show you the best workout in the world, but your results will be only as good as your diet allows. I feel it is necessary for me to address this point first before you start wasting your time in the gym because that’s all you’re doing in the gym if your diet isn’t good. It’s time to get rid of all those chemical filled foods and get back to REAL FOOD. This is all natural stuff that you find at the grocery store. This will help your body build bigger muscles.

Now that we have your diet cleared up, the muscle building weightlfiting routine can be talked about. I see so many guys at the gym that are there for over an hour and don’t even break a sweat. I workout for only 7 minutes, but it is intense! That’s the key to building muscle; intensity. Having an intense workout causes a huge amount of stress on the body. The muscles are forced to adapt to deal with the stress. It’s just that easy.

The 7 Minute Muscle is the science backed way of building muscle. It is ideal for those people that work too many hours and just don’t have the time to have a proper workout for muscles.
I used to think if I lifted heavy weights, I would get big. If only it was that simple. There is a lot of misinformation out there, which I blame mainly from infomercials, but I’m here to clear some of that up. I’ve been doing the best muscle building training for almost a decade now and in that time I’ve learned a lot of good methods for achieving it. I think it’s important for me to first point out that your diet is the most important thing. You have to have this in order before you continue. It doesn’t matter how great your gym workout is, if you don’t have a good diet, than you’re just wasting your time. The best thing you can do is start eating smaller meals more often, so instead of the traditional three a day, try having six. This allows your body to have a steady intake of nutrients to repair muscle.

When it comes to exercises it always amazes me how people naturally gravitate to the exercises that have the least muscle growth potential. All those bicep curls and shrugs aren’t going to do anything for you. It’s compound exercises that are the best muscle building method. This means squats, deadlifts and bench press. These three will yield 90% of your results.

I’m here to talk to you about my muscle building guide and how it can help you build more muscle in less time. There is so much misinformation out there when it comes to putting on muscle. It seems like the most simplistic information because the prevailing norm, rather than the science backed methods. Training is easy, but people are doing the wrong things with their time and end up having poor results. I used to be one of those people. I’ve been training for almost 10 years now and my first few years I did the wrong things and got poor results. I eventually got fed up and did th research where I learned everything I needed to know. I’m going to share exactly what you should be doing. The muscle building guide will first focus on your diet because it is the most important part of the whole process. You can do a good job in the gym, but if you’re not supplying your body with the correct foods, no muscles will be able to grow. By simply cutting out all the processed foods you can put on much more muscle. These foods are full of chemicals that serve no point for the body and actually slow down the growth of muscles in your body. The training part is actually a lot easier that most people think. I see people that goto the gym everyday that invest over an hour in the gym. These people don’t even break a sweat. I workout for 7 minutes, but here is the key; it’s intense. I workout intensely because that stimulates muscle growth.
