Nutrition for Sport and Exercise [Paperback]
Review
“Objectives are clearly defined and organized in a logical as well as practical format that should be easy for students to grasp. . . . Sidebars and text boxes are useful and easily lend themselves to discussion beyond factual material, moving towards application of major concepts.”"I think these first three chapters are better written, better organized, and set a better stage for the rest of the information presented in the book, when compared to our current text. . . . Is This Good? ( To Do With Fitness / Exercise / Rest / Nutrition )?
Hi i was just wandering if this is ok?
So i do gym everyday/ or some sort of exercise. I have a six pack.
On thursday i did my school cross country, 1 hour of gym and an hour and half of fitness. On friday and saturday i decided to rest. I normally eat healthy and never eat bad, but on saturday i had 2 slices of pizza and some maltezers and chewits. Today ( sunday ) had an hour rugby match and i did 4 mile run. Is it bad to rest so long and was it a bad idea to eat that? Thanks Guys
Where Can I Find Information About Fitness And Exercise In Europe?
I’m doing a school project in which I have to discuss exercise and fitness in Europe. Does anyone know of any good sites or anything like that that will give me information on European fitness? I’m looking for pretty basic information, like popular leisure sports, popular exercise techniques, how often people exercise on average etc.
Should I Get My Bachelors In Exercise Science Or Is Certifications All I Need For Fitness?
I see Bob Harper from the biggest loser just has certifications like personal training, nutrition and group fitness. Can I be real successful with only certifications or do I need to go as far to get my bachelors in exercise science? If I get the degree would I be paid more? and would it give me more employment oppurtunities? Seems like you study the same stuff in school as you would for the certifications.
How Hard Can Bones? Exercise And Supplements Can Make It Harder/stronger But What Is It’s Maximum Hardness?
As we know, if you were breastfed to the right and age and have drunk 2 glasses of milk ever since you were capable of holding a glass when you were a child and until you grew up now, you’d bones would be harder than another person that never drinks milk or even drink calcium supplements. I’m not saying that you’d be like drinking like 20 capsules of calcium supplements every day.
Also, if you do weight-training and exercise, and martial arts, and sports, and have he right calcium diet, that also increases your bones hardness.
But, as amazing as the human body is, how hard can a bone possible get? Could it get to be as hard as cement soon enough if you were properly brought up and had training?
What Gives States/ School District The Right To Make People Exercise?
Referring most specifically to Physical Education. No, you don’t have to side with my obvious opinion that they don’t have the right, to get the 10 points. I’m looking for something to back up that they do or don’t have the right.
My opinion is that the district/ state is taking too big of a role in my life by making me exercise. I’d be fine if we learned about different sports, nutrition….. that stuff is useful for later life, but that isn’t what you learn in PE, you learn that in some Health class. What give states the right to take that big of a role in my life (making sure I’m healthy?
(No, I’m not overweight or out of shape… I play raquetball and hike 16 miles each saturday up a mountain).
Cheers!
