Are Supplements Like Whey Protein And Creatine Absolutely Needed To Gain Muscle Mass?

i dont have a job therefore i cant afford all the super expensive whey proteina nd supplements that are like 50-60 bucks….and my parents arent supportive of it either since im not in a school sport of any kind and i wouldnt take 1 now…since im in 12th grade.
but do you absolutely need them to gain mass?? i know you can just eat like 5-6 times a day with high protein foods…but i cant exactly raid the fridge for everything that has protein in it lol.
i have friends who are going from like 145 lbs to 165 lbs of muscle mass and its kind of getting me discouraged icon sad Are Supplements Like Whey Protein And Creatine Absolutely Needed To Gain Muscle Mass? (i weigh like 145 and bench like 195-200)
so are there any other solutions/ways to gain mass?

I’m taking whey protein and Mega Men Sport now and want to add something else…
Any ideas? If so, what’s a good regimen for it?

I am really skinny and need to gain muscle mass for sports and other things. I am planning on taking creatine because I heard it was the best supplement for gaining weight the fastest, and I was wondering what the best workout plan would be for gaining muscle fast and effectivley.
