How Fast Can I Increase My Level Of Fitness Without Getting Injured?

I’ve always lived and loved fitness (running in particular), I completed a half marathon in may, and while training I got shin splints, which I am still trying to get over. I am gradually increasing my milage, and mainly running on grass (with each time I go, which I have limited to once every 3 days) a few more seconds on the pavement. I have started walking, and usually walk about 5 miles each day. However, I have noticed pain in my achilles tendon, and I also have a painful hamstring. I desparately want to increase my fitness but it seems I am plagued with injuries.. Has anyone got any advice on how slowly to take it? I would love to be able to run on the pavement for miles at a time several times a week..
oh, and I am joining the gym in late september as soon as I get back to uni.

What Disadvantages Is There From Just Getting Everything From Supplements?

I am a collegiate track/CC athlete, and I don’t have much time or money to have a balanced diet, so I use supplements to make up for what i miss. I still eat plenty of carbs/fats. I take a supplement called MegaMens sport vitapacks which has 7 pills with just about everything. I also have a protein shake daily with about 30g of protein (amplified wheybolic extreme). The rest of my diet usually consists of pizza, pasta, cereal, milk, water, turkey/pb&j sandwiches. What should I add to this?

Not Getting Enough Sports Nutrition?

I started a running and vigorious work-out program but needs a long time to recover. Recently I even experienced episodes of dizziness and I noticed that I’ve unintentionally lost some weight. I’ve been lean so I don’t want to lose weight by exercise. How can I supplement my diet, which is usually healthy but doesn’t include enough protein and starchy food? I started Boost High Protein drink but not sure if it’s good for me, given the fact that I have to control sugar intake to prevent diabetes.
