Healthy Vegetarian Diet Suggestions?

hi. i want to loose a few pounds for horse back riding and other sports so i can be more in shape. i have already been a vegetarian for a while for ethical reasons. i have like five or ten lbs to loose. what are the good foods and bad foods?
PS: if possible, id rather have a good varetiy in my diet than just all fruits and veggies. thanks!

Is My Weight Healthy Or Should I Diet?

ok so im 14 years old, 5’2 and i weigh around 145 148.
im wondering if i should diet or not?
i think i need to lose around 10 pounds or so.
i try to exercise daily.
i’ve recently stoped drinking sodas, period.and i drink lots more water. (i lose lots of wieght just cutting that out
i have a tredmill but i hate running and walking.
i dont do any sports (not planning on it lol)
all i really want to know if you can lose BODY FAT with dieting alone.
not so much exercise.?
i lose weight fast and easy so it shouldnt be tuff.
i just need to kno if i cut down on my calories and eat heallthy will i lose weight . i do not like to exercise. but i do try to do toning exercises. with my arms and legs in my room.
if anyone has answers to my questions reply please!

1. Drinks Lots of Water
Humans can survive days, or even months without food, but they can never last a day without water.
Water is, indeed, the most important element needed by the body. Excessive perspiration, without any means of replenishing the lost fluids will result to serious health problems, and even death.Therefore, for people who are into strenuous exercises and trainings, it is best to always drink lots of water.
However, for sports enthusiasts, water may not be enough to replace the kind of fluid lost. Hence, it would be better if they would have sports drinks instead. Aside from the fluid, sports drinks have tow additional important ingredients needed by a person who is into sports fitness: carbohydrates and electrolytes.
Electrolytes are usually lost during strenuous physical activity, and this can only be replaced through sports drinks. Carbohydrates, on the other hand, are also needed by the body during rigid workouts to provide more energy so that the body can cope up to the demands of the activity.
2. More Veggies
People who are into sports fitness require more intakes of vegetables and fruits. This is because the body is craving for more vitamins and mineral supplements. It makes the body stronger and healthier enabling it to cope up with demands of the activity.
3. Calcium Intake
People who are into sports fitness should have calcium present on their diet. This is to provide stronger bones to the body.
Since the body is more exposed to greater physical activities, it is important to have stronger bones in order to avoid fractures or certain bone diseases like osteoporosis.
Calcium can be found in different vitamin and mineral supplements. They are also abundant in foods like sardines, tofu, dairy products, etc.
4. Warm Exercises
Warm exercises are always important before any kind of strenuous activities.This kind of activity is needed in order not to strain the body. Hence, before playing the sports that you have always love, it is best to do some warm-up exercises first.

I recently got back from a missions trip working in the kitchen and gained. I’m 5’3 and weight around 126 right with my usual weight around 118. I’m not overweight or think I’m fat but most of it is in my butt and stomach. I would love to lose a few pounds and mostly tone my body with concentration in those areas. I am addicted to sugar so I need a great way to get started. It would be hard for me to wake up tomorrow with a whole new lifestyle so this is going to be a process for me and I’m willing to take my time. I’m not looking for some diet pill that won’t be successful. I would love to hear from those of you who lost weight or toned and exactly how you did it. What is the main area with foods I should be avoiding, how many meals should I eat a day, is snacking okay? Are the diet books worth it, like Bob Green’s Best Life Diet? What sport or exercise will tone those parts the best? What supplements should I be taking, does weight smart one a day work? Thanks!

What Are Some Healthy Yummy Treats For Someone Who Is On A Sports Diet?

im on a sports diet, which basically means im eating healthy to be in shape for a sport. i play softball, and we are on a strict diet to keep us healthy, it is nothing special just no pop, smaller portions at meals no candy, limited sugar. well…when im home after school alone im just so timted to eat what ever because i have a sweet tooth. if you have any recipes that doesn’t serve alot of people, and would like to share it with me, please do! it will help me so much. i will also pass it on to other members of the team.
