Dear Athletes. I Need A Weight/fat Loss Diet Routine That Can Benefit Me In My Sport?
I used to be competitive in a variety of sports before I went to college. I was in relatively good shape. I was muscular, but not overly muscular. Since I went to college I have gained alot of fat. I would guess my body fat percentage is anywhere from 20 – 30%
I am 6’2 and I weigh in at 225lbs after a meal. When I wake up I am usually about 220lbs. Last time I was in peak condition, I was weighing in at about 188lbs. I asked my coaches what I should eat but I didn’t like their answers..
I need a diet that is cheap and effective that will help me get through the days of hard work and nights of training.
I work 5 days a week and train 3 nights a week for about 1 – 1 1/2 hours. Mostly cardio style workouts.
I am looking for advice from other athletes that train on what to eat all day every day.. also what I should drink.
My current diet right now is pretty much anything I find in my fridge, or anything friends or family buys me.. I also drink beer, juice or water. I consume about 10 – 15 beers a week. 1L of water a day. Maybe a glass or two of juice a day.
Please help. I want to be fit again! tired of being fat.
P.S I am not trying to gain alot of muscle. I already have a fair bit.. I just want to expose them by burning all my fat.
Would This Sport Supplement Harm Me?
I’ am interested in the Vespa CV-25 sport supplement which works by encouraging the muscles to metabolize fat. It supposedly conserves glycogen levels and reduces blood lactates. It claims to be all natural and uses amino vitamins. Would this be like the weight-loss supplements that kill people? Also, what negative consequences in particular could this result in? I would like this to be answered by a qualified health care professional if possible and please don’t use any generic statements like they are all bad for you or they all cause heart problems I would like to know about this particular product.
Is It Possible To Replace Protein Supplements With Regular Sport Shakes?
I really do not want to take protein shakes and stuff because of the risk of it having a side effect. I’d rather not have to use something that people say it’s bad and good at the same time. I also want to grow taller because i am playing football but i also want to get bigger. I am 5’10 maybe 5’11 and i weigh about 140 and i’m 15 years old. One of the defensive backs said he would drink sport shakes everyday because he didn’t trust protein shakes and he’s like 5’11 185 pounds. I also eat alot of foods that have protein in it like meats everyday. I just don’t know what i should do though.
