What Is A Good Diet For An Intensive Athlete?

I play racquetball at least 3X a week and I lift weights the other days. I feel when I’m on the court I either feel too “full”, mal nourished, or just not “right”. Any resources online or diet suggestions for a racquetball athlete? (If you didn’t know, it’s a very intensive anaerobic sport. I’m usually play non-stop matches for at least an hour and a half if not longer.)

If you’re playing for an hour straight then it probably isn’t anaerobic?
Either way, you’ll want a diet with a lot of carbohydrates for energy. Great sources include pasta, wheat, cereal, fruit, etc.
Try to get some protein in there too for the lifting though. Good protein sources:
    -steak
    -chicken
    -fish
    -eggs
    -milk & dairy
    -peanuts & peanut butter
And supplements (protein bars, whey protein) are always helpful.
Due to the amount you exercise, you don’t need to worry so much about eating some junk food…it’s never good, but you’ll burn most of it off.
