You can be a lab technican and get invovled in the cases by not collecting the evidence (the gory part). Or you can be a security guard, or you can be a police officer, you can be a court reporter specializing in criminal law. The choices are wide since so much depends on what you do in college NOT what you do in high school. With a high school course on criminal justice you would be qualified to try for the police academy, join the military and be a guard, or go to college to become a more advanced student in some related field.
